James Beard Foundation
Founded in 1986, the James Beard Foundation is dedicated to celebrating, preserving, and nurturing America’s culinary heritage and diversity. A cookbook author and teacher, James Beard was a champion of American cuisine and helped educate and mentor generations of professional chefs and food enthusiasts. Today, the Beard Foundation administers programs including educational initiatives, food industry awards, culinary school scholarships, publications, and up to 300 guest-chef dinners every year.
Green & Black's has been selected as the exclusive James Beard Foundation House Purveyor of Chocolate. Under this purveyorship, Green & Black's supplies its intensely rich organic chocolate for special events hosted by the Foundation, and also makes its chocolate available to the hundreds of esteemed chefs that are invited to cook at the James Beard House.
