The key to extraordinary cuisine starts with great quality ingredients. Hi, I’m Curtis Stone. You might know me as the “Take Home Chef.” As a chef, my philosophy is to use ingredients that are organic and natural--foods that are free of preservatives and no chemicals.

The chocolate’s got so much flavor that you only need to add a couple of other ingredients and you’ve got a spectacular recipe.

I’ve teamed up with Green & Black’s to put you to the “Chocolate Challenge” and here’s how it works. You need just five ingredients; and one of them has to be Green & Black’s chocolate. Now for the other ingredients, think natural and organic. Here’s my submission: it’s a savory scallop appetizer with a sweet and sour sauce and it’s got just a hint of chocolate. Fantastic!

When you submit your recipe, also submit just a short essay that tells us why you, like me, have a growing taste for organic foods.

For each valid entry, Green & Black’s will give $10 to the cocoa farmers’ cooperative in Belize. That’s up to a maximum contribution of $100,000, and it’s going to go toward the planting and growth of hardwood trees on the farmers’ land. Now these trees provide shade that’s needed for our precious cocoa plants.

The home chefs behind the five best original recipes will win a trip for two to New York this June. The winners will shop with me at my favorite shops in New York, get great tasting ingredients and then we’ll use them to cook up a beautiful organic meal together. Winners will also get tickets for two to the James Beard Foundation Awards Gala, a chance to rub your elbows with celebrities in the food world.
